From the highest height to the lowest depth and back again. The Descent-Ascent traces Christ's humiliation and exaltation through Philippians 2:5-11: the eternal Son who "made himself of no reputation," the servant who washed feet, the obedience "unto death, even the death of the cross" — and the Father's vindication, "highly exalted" with the name above every name. You'll see why the way up in God's kingdom is always down first, and how "humble yourselves... and he shall lift you up" becomes your own pattern.
This is Volume 1 of Ten Threads, a 10-part series tracing the great New Testament themes from the Gospels to Revelation. Each volume is a 7-day study with daily KJV readings, warm plain-spoken commentary, reflection questions, prayers, and one small "live it" step per day — perfect for your morning quiet time or a week-long personal study.
