The Word: Spoken into Being

One instrument does three mighty works in Scripture: God's Word creates ("And God said," Genesis 1), God's Word guides ("a lamp unto my feet," Psalm 119), and God's Word transforms ("sharper than any twoedged sword," Hebrews 4). His speech is never empty, never wasted, never void — and in the end, the thread folds into a person, because the Word became flesh. This seven-day study will teach you to hear, trust, and live by the most powerful voice in the universe.

Across seven daily readings you'll trace the thread from Genesis 1:3's "Let there be light" through Psalm 33's star-breathing Word, Psalm 119:105's lamp for your path, Isaiah 55:11's never-void promise, Ezekiel 37's valley of dry bones, Hebrews 4:12's living sword, and John 1's stunning climax: "the Word was made flesh." Each day includes a KJV key verse, guided reading, warm plain-spoken commentary, three reflection questions, a short prayer, one concrete action step, and two cross-references for deeper study.

Part 19 of the Twenty Threads series — twenty seven-day studies tracing the great themes of Scripture. He is still speaking. This volume will teach you to listen.
